Frank,
Its been a while since I've seen a 8 mm film, but I must say that yours from the 1972 Europeans has some very good quality to it ! Of course it does bring back a few memories from the few times that I did see Baz and Rigert lifting in person. Did you come to the 1978 Worlds that were held at Gettysberg,Pa ? There was plenty of drama in most of the classes contested at that Worlds. Naturally David Rigert provided quite a bit during his class ! He proved without a doubt to his teamate that even at the age of 31 he wasn't "washed up" or too old to win his weight class.
Regards,
Dave Peterson

Hi Dave,
I did not attend the 1978 Championships as I retired from competition after the Munich Olympics.Rigert was always exciting to watch. I saw him training in Romania without a tee shirt and his physique was incredible. What I remember about Baz was the way he would do a hard fought lift and then increase 5 Kg and squeeze another success. One very determined lifter.
Frank.
