Gotcha.  Where are you at right now?  What are your training goals for the year?  How many comps do you plan to do this year?  Just curious. 

I don't remember seeing you introducing yourself giving us a little insight to your training and competitive background (bodyweight, best gym lifts, etc). 

Don't mean to pry, but curious, because I'd like to help in anyway I can.

Squatting first did take the edge of but my priority right now is to improve leg strength


Arden,

I'm 30 years old and have been lifting for 6 years seriously (previously weight training for track). My competition pbs are Snatch 122.5 and Clean and Jerk 142.5 at 85kg although I have done more at a higher body weight in training. My main goal right now is to improve my front squat as I can usually clean my 2RM. I'm currently following a simple program suggested to me by Mike Whittmer. My goals this year are 125, 145 which will gain me entry into our national champs in July as a 94 (I'm finished with lifting at 85)

I'm surpised how little work you do at your top sets.  Any particular reason for the latter?
