Thanks Arden! I got a new PR today also. It sure helps to eat right, get the necessary sleep and lift consistently.
Workout, January 29, 2010
Squat
- 20kg x 10
- 60kg x 10
- 100kg x 5
- 125kg x 5
- 145kg x 2
- 155kg x 2
- 165kg x 1
- 175kg x 1
- 180kg x 1
- 185kg x 1 (New PR)
- 190kg x 1 (Ne PR)
I was very happy after this effort. The squats were deep, fast and felt easy. I know a lot of this is due to better form and better diet. I just hope it pays off in April for the National Masters!

Thanks for the encouragement Arden. Your work ethic is inspiring to me as you combine event training for lumberjack comps and olympic training for competitions also. Will you be coming to the Master's National Championships in April?

Paul,
No Master's Nationals in April for me. My event training intensity will be through the roof at that point getting ready for the upcoming season. But I think there is a good shot I'll try York in the Fall. I would prefer to do a meet where my daughter can lift in the school age, but I will see what I can find this fall that's comparable.
Keep up the excellent work. You are seriously tearing it up. And thanks for the kind words; I'm a volume kinda guy and combing these two disciplines is making me better in both fronts. I'm genuinely excited.
All the best, Arden

Will there be a meet at York in the Fall? If so, I will be there! York Barbell is only 35 minutes from my house. I can't wait until the April meet. If you can't tell, I have been in training for that and hope to beat some PRs while there.

Thanks Keith! I won't make it to that one. I hope York Barbell has an open meet in the fall. They did 2 years ago.
