Had a pretty good session today Jan 3/11
squats-82%(188kg) 5 sets for 5 reps. It was not hard on my legs but more my lungs.
Do you do any sort of conditioning work (curious if oly programmes include it)?

No, forget cardio just weights man. just weights. I do bike to work though.

Jan 8/2011

Had a decent training session today
snatches- up to 120kg (made the second attempt), then gave 3 tries on the 125 but no dice. ON the second attempt at 125 I got under it but didnt catch it right.
C&J-I made 140kg pretty easy then jumped to 150 but caught the clean wrong and it rolled off my shoulders.
Clean deads-160x3,200x3,220x2,240x1, 250Kgx1 (new PR)

Well done Justin, big deadlift. I don't think I have personally ever seen my clubmate Dalas Santavy do a deadlift, I suppose on a good day he'd be up to it. Do you feel that there is some translation to your clean & jerk? This is particularly relevant to me since I can do deadlifts but not squats.

I just throw them in once in a while(every 3 weeks or so) I do not do deadlifts often but they apparently keep getting stronger. Maybe it is squats that keep helping them? But Deads are not part of my regular routine. I feel more carryover from squats, and pulls. I wonder what Dalas could deadlift out of curiosity for never doing them? probably still quite a bit. Is he still training? He told me he is retiring?

I notice that on my pulls the bar is going slightly away from me, probably why I always miss heavy lifts out front. I also really need to get better at catching in a deeper position.

When do you expect to get to 300?
Squat 155 kg (3x5); Bench 90 kg (3x5); Clean 100 kg; Snatch 70 kg; Weight ~180 lbs
