Yea, I knew you were kidding about the shoes. 

If the SN improvements you mention are not really so much like my descriptions, is there someone you would say they are most like?

I'm not really sure that what I am doing is different from what you are saying. I am only talking about the way I think about the lift. But, no. The idea is my own and I didn't get it from anyone else or by watching anyone else.

I might go ahead and do some MMA fighting, since I can't compete in weightlifting. There is a good coach at my club and I have wrestling and some boxing experience and my speed, power, and explosiveness. Anyway, it pays money, unlike weightlifting, and for some very strange reason I am not allowed to compete in weightlifting anyway.

I think they already changed those.

Yes, the Standards were created using a sloppy system. Ideally, they should have been recalculated using the Golden Standard to make equivalent lifts to the original records at the new weight classes. Many of the Sr records are a little too high and the vast majority of the jr records were totally decimated. But, the USAW didn't care when I showed them the math.

I think they already changed those.

They have tried but I fought that with a grievance. The Standards are still in effect. They suck but they are better than the alternative the USAW wants which is to lower the Records substantially.
