Friends at gym recorded this tonight....I have been training pretty hard, and even pretty hard since the damn USOC and USADA reneged on their deal to let me lift at the upcoming USA Sr Nationals. I'm not going to keep posting video, but I thought I would post this one and maybe a squat video soon (gonna do a big one).

wow, im impressed, espeasuly at how fast you stood up from the clean.

are u competing at 56 class?  if so why havent you been to an international comp for a long time, 140 at 56 in pretty world class.

Dustin,

Thanks. I can compete at 56 or 62 and it can be a last minute (3 months) decision. Since I will not be competing until the 2010 USA Sr Nationals most likely, I am not sure which way I will go. I like having the option although I will probably go 62 since that is where there is competition. I have no interest in lifting in international comps anymore as they are tainted by doping.

wow great lift. im interested to see what you can squat the way you stood up with that clean. i remember in the summer you didn't have a place to lift consistently, i take it you found somewhere now? what is your snatch at lately?

Dave,

Nice to hear from you. I am coaching at a MMA fight club now. It is a great place to coach and train- great and dedicated athletes. I am having a lot of fun. My snatch is the best it has been my entire career right now as I have made breakthroughs in my snatch technique- a new way of thinking about the lift that works well for me and my strengths and weaknesses.

Cheers

Awesome lift! Your determination to train when there is no competition in sight is remarkable.

I am only training for fun. I WISH that I could stay angry enough to train to stick it to USADA and the USOC, but I am too old to maintain that grudge and I know full well that they could care less. I just love the sport.
