Was planning on a rest day, but everyone persuaded me into entering the college powerlifting meet (I only did Deadlift). Decided to do it with only 10 minutes left in weigh-ins so I couldn't drop to 148, ended up in the 165 weight class. Deadlifted 415 for a 10# PR and it FLEW up. If I had dropped to 148, I would have went for the deadlift record which was 425. I might just drop weight next year and get the record.

Saturday  3/28/09

Back Squat
115x 5
140x 3
165x 1
185x 1
190x 5, 5, 5

Snatch
89x 3
111x 2
121x 1
133x 10 singles

Snatch High Pull
133x 3
143x 3, 3, 3

Push Press (behind neck)
95x 5
115x 3
125x 5, 5, 5

RDLs

Notes: I was worried about not getting all the reps today in the Back Squat, but today turned out to be so easy I felt like I could have done at least 205 for reps of 5. High Pulls felt good, really have to concentrate on no arm pull though.

Monday  3/30/09

Front Squat
105x 5
130x 3

170x 1
175x 5, 5, 5

Clean & Jerk
111x 2

155x 1
175x 1
185x 1

Wednesday  4/1/09

Back Squat
115x 5
140x 3
165x 1
185x 1
195x 5, 5, 5

Snatch
89x 3
111x 2
121x 1
133x 2, 2F(??), 2, 2

Snatch Pulls
155x 2
165x 3, 3
175x 3

Bench Press
95x 5
115x 3
135x 1
145x 5, 5, 5

RDLs

Notes: Double fail on the Snatch caught me off-guard. They felt good, and then as soon as I tried to recover they failed forward, guess I'm not keeping tight the whole time? Bench went fine, might move up in weight next time and see how it goes.

It is absolutely gorgeous here in central NY today. Decided to go out and run an easy paced 5k. Didn't have a timer but I would estimaste about high 23s to low 24s which I'll take on my first time back out, and with massive shin splints.

Piss-poor performance overall today. Clean and Jerks just weren't happening. But, strangely I did tie my PR in Rack Jerks fairly easily. 2 more hard lifting sessions and then going light to deload.

165x 3
185x 1
205x 5
215x 5
225x 5

Power Snatch

DB Bench
30s x 8
40s x 8
