Nobody in the public at large knows the name of ANY weightlifter who has tested positive.

Sure, but they don't know the names of ANY lifters. They just know our sport is doped up- first thing most people think of when they hear "weightlifting". The public knows many baseball players who both have and haven't tested positive.

We HAVE a problem, but no bigger than most of Olympic sports --

Well, I don't believe that at all. There are probably a few sports with as big a problem- cycling, T+F, swimming, American football. But, clearly weightlifting has one of the worst records on doping of any sport, if not the worst.

Bottom line, in my opinion, Moser is doing nothing to hurt the reputation of our sport. He made a mistake and is paying the price. IF he comes back and somehow becomes an Olympic medalist, this incident might hurt the sport in the USA but that simply isn't going to happen.

I agree that there has been zero impact on our image w/ the public at large,

but in terms of right and wrong...

Hey, he's lucky that as an American he was not caught being aggressive w/ the enemy --

they'd really throw away the key then...
