what does your love of weightlifting look like?
« on: Sep 27, 2008, 12:26 AM »
If you had to make a drawing that illustrated your zeal for weightlifting what would the drawing look like?

I am still struggling with the idea so I don't know what to say yet.

I`d say it looks like the lumps on my clavicles but that isn't a drawing

My system hard drive (C) died today. It was a Raptor (expensive and fast). This is after my monitor died this week and I bought a new 22" and then I invested in a new printer/scanner/copier/fax this week because my printer had been dead for some time and I needed a better scanner. The hard drive was under warranty. No data was recoverable off of it and I lost some important stuff for WE though nothing I can't replace with more work. I will get an ever faster Raptor (30%) in exchange though I will have to pay install since I don't trust my self dealing with hardware. And, I will NOW pay to have my other two internal hard drives made into a RAID so that they mirror each other so that if one dies everything on it will be backed up on the other. This means the storage gain of having the third internal hard drive is lost/redundant but I will not loose any more data (after I buy ANOTHER external hard drive so that I have adequate working space and a backup of everything).

WE IS EXPENSIVE!!!!! That is $750 this week, $1000 total when all is said and done to get all this solved- and its all because of WE. So, donations would be great!

Anyway, the point is that all my pictures are currently unavailable as I restore my computer to working order (and some lost maybe forever though probably not), which I will have to do again when my new replacement hard drive gets here in the mail. So, this is all I have to offer at the moment, but I needed a laugh so here it is:

1 of 2 things.  1. any picture of a lifter doing any of the lifts.  The stuggle fought between 1 person alone and a rediculous amount of weight 2. that genuine look of joy and accomplishment on any lifter's face after hitting a huge PR or weight in a competition.  Probably something like that.

Bolding is mine.

Seriously Chris, if this web site is that expensive than ditch whatever it is that is upping the system requirement. Just get rid of that portion of the web site, in my honest opinion. The only thing I care about is a discussion format that beats WebBBS and that people are willing to use.

Ahh, that was a little of an exaggeration made in frustration. The monitor and printer/scanner dying wasn't anything to do with WE. The hard drive storage requirements are because of WE, for the HOF and videos sections. But, I couldn't let that go.  biggrin:) After the new drive gets here and I set up the RAID and get one more external drive, there should be no more problems. And, its worth the money, though I hope some members will feel the same and help out.  biggrin:)
