12-22-11
SN High Block - 190x1
SN Pulls from hang - 150x6x4
Swings - 135x8, 130x8, 125x8
SN PP - 150x6x4

12-23-11
PC&J from hang - 260x1 (missed jerk)
Front squat thrust - 210x3x3
Squat - 335x4, 205x8x3
SNDL to knee - 205x6x4

I'm disappointed with the squat. The SSB doesn't seem to carry over well.

Well I've been travelling for Christmas and now I'll be travelling to fix up a rent house. I've been consistently lifting though. Recent PRs are PC&J 118kg (an all-time c&j PR) and squatted 310x8. Looks like it will be another week before things are normal.

Congrats on an all-time PR in the clean & jerk. That's great, and you power cleaned it too, how do you jerk, split or power? I remember seeing you power jerk a few years ago and can't remember if that is how you still do it.

OK I'm back.  :)ugh

Shaun, thanks. I use a split jerk. I don't really do power jerks anymore. I have started push pressing though, and it has been beneficial.

I did 315x9 in the squat, which is a PR. I'm going down to 3-5 reps for a while. Feels heavy. :D

This weeks training was:

1-16-12
SN - 175x3x2
PC&J - 225x4x3, 225x5
PP - 170x6x3

1-17-12
CLN Pull - 235x6x3
Squat - 330x5x2, 330x4, 330x3
SN Press - 95x5x3
SNDL to knee - 205x5x3

1-19-12
PSN High Block - 195x1 PR*
PC&J - 212x4, 237x3, 225x5x2
PP - 180x5x3

1-20-12
CLN Pull - 235x6x3
Squat - 345x3, 335x4, 335x3x2 (Was tired from working and not sleeping well)
SN Press - 97x5x3
SNDL to knee - 210x5x3

*I'm experimenting with massive arm bending in the snatch, and this was my first time trying it. Seems to be a powerful technique for me. I'm going to give it a shot for a little while and see what happens. Power snatching my current snatch max seems to be a good sign.

What do you mean by massive arm bend in the snatch?

Bending the arms significantly during the pull. I'm still working things out in my head and in real life. I'm going to work the volume for a little bit, so it may be a few weeks before I have details and results to report. I will be much better at posting my workouts now that I'm home.

1-23-12

Snatch - 175x3, 180x3, 185x3, 190x3
PC&J - blah blah 215x3x3
PP - 190x4,3,3,3

Power clean were way off today, and I was pretty tired after snatches too. I didn't realize it until afterwards but 190x3 ties my PR. Not bad for a second workout in the arm bend. It's only up from here.

1-24-12

CL Pull - 240x5x3
Squats - 350x3x3, 345x2x2, 325x3
SN Press - 100x5x4
SNDL to knee - 220x5x4

With allergies and not sleeping well, I've been fizzling out early in my workouts. Hopefully things will improve.
