Grats on the PRs Matt. 500 DL would have been sweet.

Did you put on some mass?

Thanks. I didn't gain any weight during that period. Over the year I have gained a little.

12-13-11

PC&J - 240x2
Front squat thrusts* - 205x3x3
Squat - 320x4, 195x8x2 (for speed)
SN Rows - 165x6x3

*These are front squats that you drive all the way through and throw the bar up at the top. Basically like jerk drives, but with a full squat.

How has the knee been holding up?  I know you had to make adjustments based on that.  Do you have days where it just feels sore like you over did it?  I would get that at times.  Also, what do you do for work?  I sometimes wonder if my job plays a role in wearing me out, not that I will probably ever quit for lifting as I think that ship has sailed already.  But, from about 2:30-6:00 I am on my feet the whole time coaching kids and at the end of the day I am worn out.  I think that ends up affecting my work quality some days because I don't feel I always get a great recovery.

The knees have been good. It is just the deep squat that leads to problems. If I limit that, then they recover fine. Even depth jumps don't bother them. I have only had a couple times where I cut squats short due to knee pain, but it was just a fluke I guess, because it would always be fine the next workout.

I'm self-employed and I do home remodel and repair work. Sometimes I'm busy, and sometimes not. If I'm busy then I train first thing in the morning, if not, then I train in the afternoon. I use a timer so that I finish in about an hour. What is your schedule in the morning?

SN pulls from hang - 145x6x3

Pretty good session. Would have liked to snatch 195 though.

I work odd hours, I work 12-6.  When I lift I usually roll in at about 10 and work out from 10:30-12:30.  I usually sleep in till about 8-8:30 since I work later in the evening I am up later.  I also like to go in right before work because then I won't be going to and from work twice in one day I just lift then start work.
