Squat

145x3
195x3
245x2
275x1
295x5 PR

Squat program worked well even though I didn't have good recovery circumstances. A 10lb PR in 2 weeks isn't bad.

That's great progress, 10lb 5 rep PR gain in two weeks is awesome!

Thanks I'm pretty happy. I might try another one like that.

Sorry for the long absence. I had a lot of Thanksgiving guests, and then just got busy. Training has been good though. I did another short squat program. Here is the run-down:

Mon: 265x6x4 (weight in lbs (x) reps (x) sets)
Wed: 285x4x5
Fri:  265x6x6
Sun: 285x4x8 this was brutal

I'll hit up the new PR on Saturday.

Tues 12-09-08

Snatch

95x3
115x3
135x3
150x3
155x3
160x3 missed 3rd
150x3
160x3

Dead hang clean

95x3
135x3
155x3

Did mostly snatch work, which went well. I'm going to start getting back into squat cleans again. My knee felt fine from today, but it was really light.

Are you following a routine for the squat programs or is it just your own creation?  Also, would you mind posting that first routine you did (which put 10lbs on your 5rm in 2 weeks?)  I'd like to give it a shot, god knows I would love a 10lb increase on my squats...

Squat

155x5
205x3
255x2
295x1
305x5 PR

I'll get the video up soon.

Here is the breakdown for the two programs I've done (notation is weight x reps x sets):

Mon - 85%x3x8
Tue - 82.5%x4x6
Wed - 80%x5x5
Thur - 77.5%x6x4
Fri  -  75%x7x3
Sat - 72.5%x8x3

The second one:

Mon - 77.5%x6x4
Wed - 82.5%x4x5
Fri  -  77.5%x6x6
Sat - 82.5%x4x8 (or Sun)

Both have yielded a 10lb increase.

Thanks. I don't get soreness or stiffness from limit lifts. The high volume/high frequency squatting did make me sore.
