Started a really tough squat program today. The bad news is that it is 6 days in a row. The good news is that it is only 6 days long.

You'll see... if I can complete it. I'm feeling sore already this morning, and not looking forward to squatting again.

Matt, that's interesting progression on the top sets. Do they culminate in 8x2 or 9x1? does the top weight "spike" in alternate workouts? I'm looking forward to how it will work out.

The weight lowers and the repetitions increase. It kind of give relief to have less weight on the bar each workout, and also fewer sets. Since I'm testing my 5RM the higher reps won't be a problem. My notation is (weight)x(reps)x(sets).

Thurs 11-13-08

Squats

145x5
195x4
230x3
260x6x4

I'm tired of being sore... "Only" two more days.
