I'm workout out in the morning now. This helps with time constrants as well as having consistant energy levels. The only problem is that being explosive is more difficult. I guess I'll just have to accept that my training weights in the snatch and clean will be a little lower than I am capable of.

8-08-11

Power snatch

145x3 (fourth one wasn't there)
145x5ish (fifth one was squatted a bit too much)

PC&J

205x3
210x3

SN grip press

90x5x4

A moderate day. Felt too sluggish on power snatches.

Yesterday's worklout that I didn't get to post yet. I had a rough night with kids waking up, so I didn't have a lot of energy.

8-10-11

Squats (3 seconds up and 3 seconds down)

265x4x3 supposed to do 4 sets

Weight swings

90x8x5

Isometric squat

205x20sec

I picked the wrong week to start this journal.  :)ugh I've been doing some major remodel on my house, so much so that we had to sleep somewhere else for 2 nights. The kids did not sleep well and know they are sick. That combined with all the work I'm doing kept me from hitting the numbers I wanted.

Fri 8-12-11

2 PSN + 2 SN
150
160 wasn't quite there

PC&J

205x2
225x2

Snatch Press

95x9 PR

Sat 8-13-11

Squat

300x7 bummer

Weight swing

110x12

Iso Squat

215x20 sec

These were my heavy days, supposed to be PRs but it mostly wasn't there. Lower the reps for the next couple cycles, so that will be nice.

Is this just using arms only, from shoulders up? It's a pretty tough exercise. I'd have to use some legs.

Yeah a strict press, behind the neck, snatch grip. I need to keep up with pressing because it's tough to get my arms/shoulders stronger.

Matt how tall are you?  You sound like you struggle with the same problems I do.  I always seem to have trouble getting my arms and shoulders stronger.

I'm 5'11" with long arms. I've always been weak with any kind of pressing. Except e-pressing!  ):wlfter
