Morning,
I'm 56 and a long-time lifter--weight training, PLing the past two years, and just recently a convert to Oly. Within the past two months I've been diagnosed with a neuro-endocrine carcinoid and treated by surgical removal of my left lung. No chemo or radiation is currently anticipated.
There are, of course, a lot of "ifs" out there in the next year or so on many fronts, and it may well be that my days of lifting anything of consequence are over. However, nothing is written, in my opinion; I'll let the facts of my particular experience and good judgement dictate my course.
If anyone has been down a similar road and/or is a lifting MD or RRT, I'd appreciate your input.
