How did you get started/involved in weightlifting?: First introduction was through Athens 04. I was a powerlifter at the time. OL appealed to me more as it wasn't well known and more athletic. I promptly bought a set of cheap 300lb metal weight set and practiced form in my back yard. I would lift in a sand trap and would spend half the time on my back. I loved every second of it.

Years involved in weightlifting: Six months of fooling around, three weeks of training with Coach (Mr. Schmitz)

Athletic achievements: Is never being injured an achievement?

Role in weightlifting: Humble student

Coaching/educational credentials:

Favorite weightlifter: I have respect and admire everyone in this sport

Interests other than weightlifting: My friends and family, the Boston Red Sox, Lacrosse, and volunteering my time for children

Other information you would like to share: I coach middle school lacrosse back home in MI.
