Other information you would like to share: Anyone lifting in Arkansas or nearby give me a shout.  Shocked to find so little interest in weightlifting in this state!

How I got involved in weightlifting: 1981-dating  husband olympic lifter Alden, our dates were me watching him lift & dinner afterwards. Then Matt started lifting, Amber followed and somewhere in 1998 Alden Mark started.
Coaching: Referee also and coach.
Favorite lifter(s): I'm sure  you can guess which two!
Interest:  Spending time w/my family, driving my 67 Mustang, reading, relaxing and the traveling we do with Amber and Alden Mark.

How did you get started/involved in weightlifting?: since age of 13 i was smoking cannabis taking recreational drugs eating junkfood and doing very litte for my health, at age of 21 i stopped taking all drugs stopped smoking, started going to local gym eating healthy and stuck at it 4-5 moths later i don't smoke or take any drugs i am following a real good strength program
and eventually would like to move into olympic lifting
Months involved in weightlifting: 4-5
Interests other than weightlifting: 3d, dj'ing, producing music, poker, checkers.

Occupation: illustrator...i draw comic books for DC comics when im not lifting.

Location:mpls/st paul minnesota

How did you get started/involved in weightlifting?: i saw an advertisment for strossens milo in powerlifting usa, and it showed an olympic lifter holding a clean aloft.  i had read how overhead lifters had less shoulder problems than powerlifters lifters, so i turned to oly lifting for rehab.  the result was that i truly enjoyed olympic lifting.
Years involved in weightlifting:between 4 and five from my first snatch or clean attempt.

Athletic achievements:i took the silver at the 2003 world masters after a tying on total and losing on bodyweight, 40 to 44 94 kilo category.  one french fry too many for lunch.   my favorite moment in weightlifting thus far has been to win the 105 kilo category at the twin city open last fall with a 261 total.  i had family and friends watching, and it was just a great time.

Role in weightlifting: lifter and very occasionally judge.

Coaching/educational credentials:
Favorite weightlifter:  duane hanson and josh roslik.

Interests other than weightlifting:  not much.  my family, really.  cooking and eating food rates up there for sure.

Other information you would like to share:  i designed the t-shirt and program cover for the national junior championships in 2005.  sadly, i wasnt able to watch any of the competition!
