Just ordered; coming from reading the Sportivny Press books, this should be a good read. 300 pages!

Okay guys, finished reading it. I would say it is for people who are brand new to the sport or for coaches looking to adopt an OL program to teach. It is written like a high school textbook in the sense that it is a very easy read with lots of picture examples (not like the incredibly technical Sportivny Press books) It has a Fault Correction with just about every mistake a lifter will do as well as methods to correct it; by far the best section in the entire book. I would tell people to buy it just for that section if they coach or self-coach themselves. Most of the other information is pretty basic stuff. The book is a very good primer for learning the lifts and gives a simple explanation for structuring routines and workouts.

If someone is looking for a more in depth study of how to create a long-term routine, I think 'Training of the Weightlifter' by R.A. Roman as well as 'A System of Multi-Year Training in Weightlifting' by A.S. Medvedyev go much deeper into the process and analyze it to the extreme. These books, though, are very tough to read.
