I agree with your observation Dave, I thought that Aramnau was using the "oscillation" to his advantage. I was surprised that the refs gave him the lifts, but then again they haven't called anyone in any other weight class on that rule, but Aramnau was definitely the most prominent "violator". His jerk was beautiful, the timing was spot on, reminded me of Kolecki's jerk.

who else thinks Aramnau could easily move into the supers and cause damage, he's not as strong a clean&jerker as Steiner but he did 200/240@108 in the belarusian cup and I've heard he's done 210/250 in training (probably at like 110 or something) imagine if he got like 10-15kg heavier!

I think Aramnau is already carrying enough weight. He's a short 105 kg lifter - one of the shortest in his group. I still would like to see what he can accomplish in his current weight class.

Aramnau could probably do well as a super, but unlike Steiner was, he is the world record holder and olympic champion in the 105s. He also looks like he'll be setting more world records in the future. I don't think he would trade all of that to possibly be successful as a super.
