Well, Dennis Snethen has confirmed all, I believe, of the factual statements I made on the record plus the information I posted from WADA. But, yes, I have more information and am still working on confirming, getting it on the record, gathering more, etc.

Still hearing some rumors floating around.  Have you come up with anything else you can add?

Unfortunately, I have been very busy with other matters. But, yes, Dennis Snethen told me that the USAW was attempting to formally name Casey to the 2008 USA Olympic Team, which would mean some benefits to him in the short and long term. He also stated all the other lifters on the Team had to okay it or it was a no deal.

I guess that would mean we got the third slot back?

I was really hoping to find out what happened.  Did we ever have a third slot?  If not, why did someone think we did?   Or, why did someone say we did?  If we did have a third slot, what happened to change that to two?  And, when did it happen?  And, why?

I was hoping for an official explanation from USAW or USOC people.  I saw Tomas Ajan's official letter to the USOC.  However, that only answered the first question as it would seem that we never, officially and in writing,
had a third slot.

Do you think the USAW officials will eventually explain, to the membership, what happened?

No. But, I feel I can expose everything anyway, and more. I have some big leads and avenues to do so and intend to put massive pressure on the status quo. Please, just give me two weeks.

Chris, are you in a position to reveal anything yet?  Time is passing by and I am still hoping this will be addressed.
Perhaps a new BOD will be able to look into it, however, the longer we wait the more difficult it will be to get answers.

Mike,

No, there are a couple loose ends I'd like to tie up like finding out if Casey got his Olympic Team status approved but I have been just too busy. I had my system hard drive die making me reinstall my operating system and all applications twice (two drives of data lost), restore all my data, make local backups of all my websites, catch up on my web design and video editing work, dealing with my eligibility status again unexpectedly, training, working, E-coaching, personal training, got very sick for a week or so, looking at possibly setting up a new weightlifting facility, etc.

Thanks Chris, I'm still looking forward to what hearing whatever information you have.  I do think, however, any Olympic Team "status" given to Casey is irrevelant, given what he was put through.  I'd hate to be trying to explain why or how I was on the Olympic team but did not get to compete.

Mike, I hear you but I don't think it is totally irrelevant. It carries benefits. And, Mike Burgener mentioned it to me and seemed positive about the possibility.
