I believe that, with more information, it is probable even more people may join in your way of thinking.

Fantastic. If WE could unite behind reform, then WE will have it. The IWF elections are coming and more information is both promised to me and will be forced public from my intensive questioning though interviews and cross interrogation. I have much work to do, but there is no way that this will not produce internal dissent among the powers that be and sunshine to this evil political structure. Even if they ALL hang up on me, which they will not do, they will be facing intense scrutiny. And, I have gained some powerful allies, both within weightlifting and outside it. Its time for this nonsense to end and Ajan and his soon to be anointed son to go away.

Do you reject the possibility that politics (the 2016 Olympics) are behind USOC actions, or lack of, in this case?

No, that is the truth apparently. Casey was sacrificed in part for this reason.

Or, do you reject the 2016 Olympics as a reason to back down?

Yes, I reject that reasoning. I am more of a believer in never leaving a wounded comrade/teammate behind (Casey). This just sounds like politics to me.

WOW!  That is bogus, cheat someone of a once in a lifetime opportunity 1. because of politics and 2. because of cowardace on the effect that might have on the politics.  That just really blows to me.  The not only hurts Casey to a detrimental degree for the POSSIBLITY of getting the Olympics here but it also hurt our weightlifting by removing one more case of exposure for the US in this sport.  The only good I can see coming from this is if the changes occur in the IWF as Chris is explaining and changes in USAW.  We have all talked about this though, easier said then done.

Personally, if I were going to the Olympics, I would want it to be in another country. Where is the fun in going to Chicago? Really good Pizza though...

True that, I would rather go somewhere I would not normally get to go.  Although, from a buisness standpoint it is good for bring others here and recognition for the country.

Having the Olympics inside the country would be a major financial boon for the USAW with television revenues being split among the NGBs. Since much of the Foundation, which was started from the 1984 TV revenues, has been lost recently playing the markets, this would be a big thing for the USAW and maybe even USA weightlifting in general though the Foundation always seems to be tightly controlled with little of it trickling to the athletes. Hopefully if WE do get the Olympics again, the suits will decide to invest some of the money in the athletes and programs that directly benefit them. Don't hold your breath.

I have banned several WE members for involvement in reposting WE content on goheave. If they wish to respond to content on WE, they need to follow our rules here. WE has higher standards, which will be relentlessly enforced for the protection of our members.

If they can not follow our rules, good riddance to them. WE has higher standards, which will be relentlessly enforced for the protection of our members and to keep those of lesser intellect where they belong- on goheave.

Chris,
Just a thought, but have you considered that posting WE material on another site might encourage
some to take a look and maybe join?  As long as whatever is put up is accurate and properly credited,
I'm not sure it is a bad thing.

Mike,

The proper way to give credit and promote the site elsewhere is to post a link to it. Really, WE don't want to lose Roger as a member as he is a very knowledgeable and productive member and I have tried to contact him about it so that WE can resolve the matter. But, as I recall, you yourself complained once about someone reposting your posts here on goheave and you are not the only one. Basically, I see it as an end-run around giving us credit (the link) and our rules that promote a civil atmosphere. Not saying that was Roger's motivation, but thats the result as I see it. If the goheave mob can't handle our fair and reasonable moderating policies to discuss the post here and want to attack it there from a link where they can do so with really no moderation, that is their right and nothing can stop them.
