Snatch pull from blocks
« on: Jun 13, 2008, 12:19 AM »
I'm having a hard time getting the groove down for these. The bar is just above my knees, but I can't figure out how to get the bar to contact at the right spot. It just hits against the bottom part of the thigh and goes up from there. I can't change the height of the bar at the starting point. Just wondering if someone can give me some tips for this. It feels strange.

Keep the weight off of your toes longer.

You are probably pushing your knees forward too soon.  Instead think "back up" first (without letting your hips "pop" up), or...
think any other thing that gets you to do it more correctly.

Of course this is only a guess without seeing what you are actually doing.
