Now if you want to see a 400+ lbs power
clean with a power jerk by a 165 lbs man,
check out Yoto Yotov in the 1999 World
Champ. training hall tape. 182.5kg
overhead and only moved one small step
forward on the power jerk.
Boy would I love to be talking about an
American lifter now!

Don: I can do ...right now a 185 .0 ... Power CLean & Jerk.... & quite possibly as much as 190.0 Power Clean & Jerk .... for sure in a couple weeks. And, in a couple months most likely 200.0 !!! How 'bout that !?!!
Oops....my mistake......I was talking lbs & not kilos... Oh, well....back to squat rack for me ..... and here I was getting excited
Kidding aside....
can you image the POWER it takes to do 182.5 kg Power Clean & Jerk weighing around 165-170 lbs ? Mind-boggling !!!!
The most I have heard anyone doing something like that at a similiar bodyweight was Pablo Lara (CUBA) around 1996 doing a 190kg power clean & jerk......he was a 76kg lifter at the time....maybe a few lbs overweight....but jeesh !!!! 418 lbs !! I think Pablo's best C&J was around 205kg - 207.5kg....so 190kg is in the ballpark......
But that one by YOTOV sounds unreal, but considering he was doing around 200kg in the full C&J.... 182.5kg PC&J sounds great......even if I haven't seen it yet. :)
Reportedly, Roberto Urrutia (USA) power cleaned 177.5kg at the Denver Broncos training camp sometime in the '88 - '92 timeframe...I heard
