Watching Tom Platz squat, I would say he definitely did some sort of O-lifting.  Guess it was a bad analogy, anyway I hope you understood my point.  O-lifting gives you big legs but so do other methods.

Absolutely and good point.

Regarding powerlifters, bodybuilders, and weightlifters getting along (or not)- it is a stereotype that in reality is greatly impacted by the specific personalities (more so than the specific disciplines) involved in any given interaction between the groups.  And, this stereotype tends to perpetuate more in places where the groups have little or no direct interaction.

Imagine that, LOL!

From my experience Jim here are the personalities

Powerlifters:  "We are bigger, stronger and awesome AHHHHHH!!!! AND we get to use chains and bands! AHHHHH!

Weightlifters:  BANG CLANG (weights falling) (Quiet fist pump)

Bodybuilders:  My popliteus just isn't popping, I think i need more tanning lotion.
