I'm with you alex i was waiting and hoping that Kourtidis was not positive.  Love his technique - if you notice his knees never fulling straighten when he cleans.  In fact as the weight gets heavier they extend less and less.  What about the super Papageridis?

Yes, I think its inevitable that we will get kicked out of the Olympics. These countries that live on cheating don't seem willing to stop and the system is not strict enough to make it too painful for them to continue. A good scandal at the Olympics could be the last straw, or maybe not and we can just continue the way things are with the cheaters getting all the advantages and all the glory.

In that case same should be done with track and field, swimmnig, some combat sports....
Do you believe in that?
I don`t.

Well, I USED to believe the Olympics were something special, that it was about the peaceful competition among Nations. So, going by that idealistic view, I would hope and think weightlifting deserves to get the boot. But, the Olympics has fallen from its grace with over commercialism, doping as the norm, etc and I love weightlifting regardless of the Olympics.

So, I am not sure either. I just wish we could have the pure sport weightlifting is meant to be.
