Tom,
Sorry, but I don't know and if I did I probably couldn't tell you.
Oscar might have been a subject in our study at University of Memphis "The Relationship between Barbell Squats and Weightlifting performance" so I might have that raw data on file stating his best squats at given bodyweight(s) (though I think Rhys has all of that), but, if I do have it, it is confidential and I couldn't release the numbers associated with an individual name.
Hopefully someone else can answer you.

AHH Thanks anyways Chris,
Ive HEARD that he had a very efficient clean and jerk compared to his front squat. Something like a max 205 front squat while c&jing 188 @ 77, but I dont know if theres any truth to that. Wandering if anyone on here has heard the same.

Tom,
Based on my recollection, that was the case. I believe he was one of the most efficient lifers in our study.

I don't know his squat numbers either. But I do know that when he missed C&Js, it was usually because he couldn't stand up with the clean. He rarely missed jerks, but standing up with his top weights was a problem sometimes. "Efficient" is a very good word to describe his lifting.

I have only seen Oscar compete at the AO in 05 but his snatches were so awesome to watch. Does anyone have an idea as to why our current nations best have jerked what Oscar has or more but arent quite close to his snatches? (in the 77's) perhaps superior back strength?
