Training in frigid cold.
« on: Dec 28, 2007, 08:20 PM »
So my garage is freezing now. The only lift it seems to be affecting is the snatch. I worked to a weight that was very close to maximum for today, then I dropped it down and went back up to the same weight using straps. I have a pretty good grip, but the straps made a big difference. I'm thinking that I will use those during the winter to keep my training weights where they should be. I know a lot of people are against using straps very often, but I'm looking at about a 5% decrease in my snatch weight.

Otherwise I'm dressing in layers and I feel warm without really restricting movement. I'm also doing a little more for warmup. Anybody else have to train like that?
