From The St. Pete Times: My Son and I
Logged
My claim to fame is that I was the Fl. Olympic Weightlifting Champ in the 148's from 73-75 as a 17, 18, and 19 year old. Then I went to college, got married and that was that!

Very cool Pete. I hope you stick with it so I can have more chats with you at Masters comps.
And I hope your son sticks with it so you two can share a wonderful activity.

Thanks Tom. I'll be in Savannah. The thing with my son is pretty cool but coaching/training a child can be tough!
I would like him to develop an interest in something that will last. He's a bit on the small size for having just turned 13 so the weights should help with muscle mass as well as confidence. He still wants to train but I'll not push it too much. Finding the motivation and desire to train is always a challenge for me. That's why looking forward to meets are so important!
