Could anyone tell me how coaches are selected for worlds/Olympics in other countries? Are there any similarities with ours and others Especially Russia or China?

In Canada, the coach with the top rated male lifter is the men's coach for the Olympics. Same with the women. In the year 2000, it was the same coach (Pierre Bergeron). In 2004, Steve Sandor and Pierre Bergeron.
