Well, I would also say Hats off to you Jack for I saw from the results that you did have a very good meet. But is it true that that's the same total as you had in the National Masters last spring ? I really teasing on that one, for I've got to get consistant in my training so I can make to the National Masters next April !
                                         Best Regards,

This was an extremely well run meet with a great atmosphere to do some big lifts.  I got a PR in the snatch and just missed matching my PR in the clean and total.  Missing the bronze medal by 1 kg left me hungry to train harder and come back stronger next time.  The 40-44 age class had some fantastic lifting at several weight classes but the 105+ was fun to watch.  Thick Rick Bucinell's attempts were amazing as he broke the American Masters record!  My 6yo son still talks about that one.  Nice lifting Thick Rick!

Big cheers to the crew at LBH for a great venue and a great atmosphere for us old guys who still enjoy competition and throwing around heavy weights.

This is a Youtube video of Thick Rick Bucinell's record breaking performance at the American masters.  This is video shot by his coach, Gene Flynn DC.  My vantage point was about 15 feet behind this camera.  Rick was a class act and the crowd responded with a lot of cheering and a standing O!  Very cool to be there.

I may post my pathetic attempts (compared to Thick Rick) when I get some time.

This was a very well run meet. The whole crew at Lost Batalion did a great job. As an athlete, lifting in a facility with a great sense of history and tradition is as much an honor as competing on the same stage with athletes the caliber of Bucinell, Storch, Valentine and many others.

But i must give a special thanks to the great loaders who not only loaded the bar quickly and accurately, but also showed great patience as i milked the clock to buy more time between attempts. I did everything except ask you to sweep the platform. So thank you very much for your efforts.

I second all of this.  This meet was a trip down memory lane for me because I competed in my last National Junior Championship at LBH in 1992.  It was cool to come back fifteen years later and compete in the same place again, seeing many of the same people.  LBH veteran Chris Smith is the only other surviving member of the 1992 Juniors, and we got to lift together in the same session.  It was all a great time with some very impressive lifting from a lot of masters.  Loved it.
