I purchased a set from glenn pendlay (wichita falls weightlifting).  These bumpers are very durable and cheap compared to other bumpers.

Our gym owner (only gym I am aware of in Little Rock, AR where people can now do weightlifting properly) Sean Ross recently purchased bumper plates from Glenn Pendlay as well.  They seem to be a good price and also free shipping.  Sean ordered the weights in lbs but since training with them and working with a programme that has my weight in kilos I have tendency to now know what is on the bar in kg rather than in lbs!

Back in Ireland one club I trained in also had painted one set of their 20kg weights to see if this would work.  In the couple of years I was training there the paint stayed on and did not leave a mess on the platform.  I will try and find out what they used.

Regards,

Pete

sorry Chris, I'm not sure how long ago they were painted, but I wasn't a member at the time. Probably a testament to how well it held up.
