I remember watching one of the unauthorized trailers on youtube with a lifter I believe to have been Anatoli (Anatoly) Khrapaty.  I cannot be absolutely sure about that (hence this post), however, I vaguely remember hearing Stroessen referring to a featured lifter as "Anatoli."   The setting was a training hall (or gym), not a competition stage.  In the workout he demonstrated power snatches, snatch grip deadlifts, and back squats, and ended that exercise by jerking the weight up over his head.  This is all that I can remember, and if anyone can confirm that he is indeed a featured lifter and the name of the Ironmind video he is featured in, I would greatly appreciate it.  I would like to order it from the website, but of course do not know which it is.  I am only certain it is not "Heavy Metal In Melbourne," because that is the only one I own.

Khrapaty is in the 1999 worlds training hall, Greece. He does snatch pulls and back squats. It's a pretty good video.

Daniel, I believe the video you're talking about is from the 95 worlds training hall, but there are 2 training hall videos from those worlds so you'd better just get both. That's one of the ones I haven't got yet but it looks pretty good. You're right, it is Anatoli Khrapaty doing the power snatches, deads and squats.

Dr. Randy Strossen informs me that IronMind has been recording the womens lifting at big meets for some time which has made it impossible to make more training hall tapes, as I relayed. But, he also informs me that IronMind may now "rotate" this effort so that some more training tapes can be made.

   Do you know why they don't release more recent competition tapes? Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place but I don't see and competition tapes more recent than a few years ago... Did they lose right to selling them? In that case I would wonder why he video tapes them at all.

Sorry. I don't know. The latest tapes I see on IronMind are from 2001. I do know Dr. Strossen is going to this worlds. I will ask him about it next time I talk to him.
