i train at empire. im sure you would be welcome to train there even if its not a permanent thing, coaches are all good blokes, Andy runs empire but Glen Douglas is the head O lifting coach. The facilities at bath are awesome but ive heard the coaching isnt!

Thanks Tom, I feel very welcome now to come to Empire Gym, I defo will as my mates live go to Bristol university.

Whats wrong with the Bath coaching!! They cant be that bad, obviously the coaches at Empire gym will be amazing, but I would just need basic help really in weightlifting.

My powerlifting mentor was a former pro weightlifter and winning medals at top comps, so Im in safe hands for advice anyway.

Hi British team, just wondering do you have any olympic weightlifting schools near the Slough, Windsor area?

Hi there, sorry to continue the thread hijacking, but I was wondering if there was anything in/nearby Sheffield? Ive had no joy after months of google searching. I emailed a few different people at BWLA but no one ever replies.

Good luck to you Mark and your fellow British boys!

Very good info on training locations in the UK, thank you, it may very well come in handy for me as well.

Good luck in Thailand, British team! A clubmate of mine has met some of you guys while competing in the Commonwealth Games and he's always come back and told the club that the UK lifters were good guys.

Just saw a video of Kevin Stuart C&J in training 154 from the Olympic Dragons web site. Awesome lift! It's hard to believe he only weighs 62 kg, he looks like a much larger man

Stephen , I don`t know of any training venues in Sheffield , sorry .. But if you want to speak to any one in BWLA don`t bother with the BWLA web site it`s a disgrace .. The only man you need speak to is Ray Cavanagah contact him through http://www.southsideweightlifting.co.uk/index.html   He will sort you out with any info you require .....

Shaun , Don`t get over excited with Ginger Kev. Yes he has done 154kg C&J but in the 69kg`s. He is now focused on competing at 62kg and has managed 120kg snatch and 135 C&J at this new B/W.

         Cheers
