Ugh, how horrible is the dislocated elbow in the 94's(I think it's anthony martin). While I like to see a gutsy save in the jerk, once those elbows unlock and the bar is behind you I can't help but yell "DROP IT" cos every dislocation I've seen has been from trying to pull back a lift going behind.

Jeff Wittmer looks good though, I think his technique is the best of the 94's. LOW on the snatches though, just so flexible and deep.

I just watched the 77's again. Man, Matt Bruce is just man-handling the weights he is lifting. He has gotten a lot stronger. I expect he is going to do some new PR's soon.

Chris,

I agree about Matt Bruce.  I've had the luxury to watch he and Gayle Hatch train and sit down with them and chat for about two hours.  Great stories from Gayle and Matt is great kid.  I'm amazed at the size difference b/w he and the other 77's.  A man amongst boys

Incredible how Kendrick Farris clean & jerked more than the winners of the next 2 weight categories above.
How come he is so much stronger than everyone else in america if he is a product of the same system?
Is it genetic?  In that case does it mean that there is nothing wrong with the american system of developing lifters, there is just a shortage of genetically gifted lifters entering into it?

It's a combination of good genetics, hard work, and extreme mental toughness. I train with him at LSUS and this kid bust his ass every day in there and he works for every PR he makes. Plus he's just one tough kid not only physically but mentally in the gym.
