News: Chris LeRoux Ruled Ineligible to Compete At Any Level

My membership status on the USAW website no longer says I am ineligible. Just as I received no notice when they changed it no say I am ineligible, I received no notice that my eligible status was restored.

I guess it never happened.

I got an email from the USAW today basically restating their original case. They again claim that "eligible" is defined according to one (undefined) meaning and that to be eligible I have to be in the OOC program- to compete at any level. I thought this was settled. My membership status is not set an ineligible anymore though no one had the decency to tell me it was restored just like no one had the decency to tell me when it was stripped.

this is all pretty "funny" considering how vehemently you defended them

but you considered them friends and that is what you do

they really screwed up

you are now ready to start posting on goheavy

I considered Wes a friend and I thought he was making progress as executive director. I think his loss has really set us back in many ways. And, I think, and have always said, that we need an elite weightlifter (retired) in that position, not a businessman, though the two together is ideal. Now we have one without the other and its the wrong one.

Chris,

You should re-startup the AWA since Doug has not done anything with it since 2000.  You can use the AAU for insurance to run meets.  I lifted in few of the meets and I would talk the owners ( Doug and the previous owner) and they would welcome any idea how to improve the organization.

I looked into the AAU for clean meet I wanted to put on since USAW does not let you Sanaction these type of meets.  You can use them for the insurance for meets for all ages.

When Doug had the AWA I really wanted it to succeed, but most did not.  I think we needed the AWA organization to keep the USAW in check.  Maybe this organization will not be  recognized   by the IWF but it an organization to allow lifters to lift.

i did not like the idea of the awa (i don't know why), but now i see that maybe a little heat in the way of legitimate competition may well be a good idea

i wonder how the usaw would react

if i remember correctly they tried to squash the awa in some way

i would expect the same

but let's face it

this is still america...the home of the free and the land of the brave

we are not little sheeples   :)happy

(this emoticon reminds me of the scene from the exorcist when the little girl's head spun around...i wonder why she did not develop nerve damage   )
