Why would anybody be opposed to competition.  I know there are lot of powerlifting federations out there but if you look at there are more people that know what powerlifting is and I am tired of correcting people that Olympic-style is not powerlifting.  One thing I would like to have seen in AWA since USAW will not do this is, is to allow the lifter to compete in the Snatch only, Clean and jerk only or both.  If you look at track and field they do not make the runner run the 100 and 200.  The reason behind this idea its a good way to promote the sport for example most football player can not snatch.

Maybe the AWA type of organization should be a professional organization, instead of medals you give out money

the idea of one lift meets may be the way to go in an instant gratification culture

most people do not want to hang around for a long time in any one spot

a national championship with only 5-10 lifters in each class is a better way to go than to have B sessions and a ton of lifters

i lean toward the top 5...maybe 7 tops

then we would have more of a Nationals instead of a freakin marathon that would put a meth head to sleep

Now I got an email from Rodger Degarmo at the USAW saying they don't know if I am eligible or not.

Bizarre.

Rodger DeGarmo passed away last night in his sleep. He was young. I was not happy with him about the matter of my eligibility but this is just awful. I hope you will all join me in a prayer for him and his family. I am truly sorry about his passing away too soon and our conflict. I hope anyone that loves him will forgive my harsh words and the closeness to this tragic injustice.
