WOW, who would have ever thought that one of Abajiev's athletes would ever be on drugs or have some sort of drug scandal.  Any one who has EVER trained with Abajiev should be checked regularly.

I think all the drug problems around abajiev's teams in Bulgaria just go to show that the Bulgarian system may be the best IF you are able to use restoratives.  With out drugs, it kills athletes.

he hasnt been in the usa for a very long time from what i've heard, neither has abadjiev. so its obvious he missed the drug tests, he wasnt even living here anymore.

That is true from my communication with those in the know. Abadjiev has been back in Bulgaria for a long time so if this guy is or was recently in the US then he wasn't training with Abadjiev. I would imagine he left with Abadjiev like Dave said, over a year ago I believe. We should give it a rest on Abadjiev everyone knows his past. He's still the most succesful weightlifting coach ever with just about every single country following the methods he pioneered.

I saw one of his other guys, Pashov I think, lift in August. It's weird that he (Histrov) bothered signing up for drug testing if he didn't plan on staying.

I would just like to ask a question.  I am over in USA on a work visa but I am from N. Ireland.  If I have USAW membership and compete in local competitions am I supposed to complete these OOC forms?  I never lifted much and even less since a shoulder injury but would hate to have one of these bans due to an oversight.  Is it just for USA citizens?
