Joshua and Paul : you guys are warriors! I think we all have had embarrassing moments that we may or may not have caught on tape. Joshua, I think a lot of lifters have done that exact same thing, ouch. Paul, I am glad you're ok and I have to admit it was humorous
I've done stuff like smash myself in the forehead while nervously warming up with an empty bar in front of a crowd of people, I just don't have it on video
I promise I will post my next blooper

When I was learning to snatch I hit myself in the forehead and busted it opened. It didnt hurt so much as I felt really stupid...hurt the pride more. Especially watching adrian, I actually felt bad for dudes since it happened in front of people.

haha adrian looked so confused after that.. classic
ive definitely dropped the bar behind me a bit too close and had it scrape my back though, but thankfully thats all..
paul's booboo was a bit too close for my liking.. OUCH the possibilities for injury are crazy

Adrian,
That happened to me once, back in high school. I was doing jerks from the rack on a little platform, too little (3x2ish). As I was bringing the weight down from one rep to the ready position for another rep, I leaned back too far on the heels and when the weight came down to the collar it thus knocked me backwards. It felt like it took forever to fall backwards. Behind me was another, oversized and raised platform. Fortunately, that platform wasn't 3 inches higher or the weight would have actually hit me rather than landing over me.
A pretty scary incident, especially for the PE teacher....

I don't have video, but I once hit my nose in a snatch. At least I think I did. My nose hurt pretty bad when I came to down on the platform with the bar across my lap.
I do have a video of me being thrown by the hammer when I was first trying to do 3 turn throws. It hit the ring and rolled out--I went flying about 5 feet out the front. Possibly the longest throw by a hammer ever. Too bad it couldn't stay in the ring.

i cant watch any of the vids of lifters actually hurting themselves though - that would just mess with my head. thankfully all of you have been OK
