BC Junior Championships - April 7, 2007

Bodyweight: 53.6kg

Snatch
55kg - Good Lift
57kg - Didn't finish pulling
57kg - Finished pulling, but didn't go under the bar

Forget about the Snatch, let's go the Clean and Jerk!

Clean and Jerk
64kg - Good lift
67kg - Good lift, tied my PR
70kg - Didn't finish the dip in the Jerk

Total - 122kg (tied my total) [2nd/3]

Overall (if you don't look at the attempts made), it was a good competition for me. This was my second competition in two weeks. I'll do much better because I'm peaking for Sea Festival (end of June-beginning of July).

Here's my Snatch and Clean and Jerks from the BC Juniors at the bottom. Constructive criticism only please and thank you in advance.

Technique work....

1. You need to learn to squat snatch you will be doing around 70+ kilos

2. Ditto with the clean

3. Finish you pull more on the cleans.

4. On the jerk you need to decide split of push... it looks like your doing a spluat like kendrick. You have enough power to push jerk these weights.

Adrian, I agree with Ryan. You need to get consistent with the full squat movements. You also need to work on your split so that it is wider, evenly distributed, with the bar directly over the hips.

Nice video, nice music. Who is the band?

Thanks guys for your feedback. I must have been lazy with the Cleans finishing (my max Clean is 80kg, I could of power clean them lol). I'm peaking for a competition in late June-early July, so I'm hoping that I can get most or all of the technical faults address by or before then.

Chris, the song used for the videos are Ladies and Gentlemen - Saliva (Snatch) and Sink or Swim - Hedley (Clean and Jerk). Glad you enjoyed it.

As a side note, if you have time Chris, can you fix my user name to Adrian Cadmus-Dixon. Thank you in advance.
