A&R Memorial - Results

Hey guys,
I just got home from the A&R Memorial in Port Alberni. The only PR that I made was a 117kg total in the 56kg (52.9). I snatched 50, 53 (bodyweight), and missed 55 (knew that I was getting second no matter what, but close of getting the lift anyways). In the Clean and Jerk, I did 60, 64 and missed 67kg (pressout). Other than that, it was a good competition overall. I'll have some form of videos from my competition sometime in the next week.

Good job, I was at the A&R also with the Barbarian Weightlifting Club. I have been coaching for a couple of years now, but have not had the opportunity to compete. I lifted 95 snatch & 120 clean/jerk at 96 kg BW. Not too bad for a former BB/PLer!! Placed 2nd in th 105's. Was going to drop to 94's, but one of my lifters Jeff Paul was in the same class, so I decided to stay at the 105's. He did very well for his first ever comp. Snatch 100, C/J 125. We had 5 lifters originally competing but 2 of em' got hit with the flu pretty hard, our 105+ lifter Geoff Horne made it, but not after he had spent 3 days this past week bed-ridden. He struggled and bombed all of his snatches, but made it up with a p.r. in the C/J. His first meet also.
I will see ya' at the BC Jrs. in April. Keep up the hard work!!!
