you know its funny whenever an athlete fails a doping test its always not his fault, somebody always did it to the athlete without the athlete knowing, they always all say that, but i must admit there is something weird about this case.

Perhaps sometimes it could happen that you are prepared for the tests - but somebody slash you with something. Maybe this happened to Sabanis - of course he wasn't drug free (no one can win an Olympic medal DF) - but maybe ready for the tests!? Or also a pre Games sample and test was manipulated?! Who knows?!  Unfortunately there is no point which people couldn't manipulating!

Another possibility is that someone who wanted him to win was giving it to him without his knowledge- in his food, or by telling him it was an allowed supplement, etc. This was done in East Germany, USSR, etc. Did those athletes really know or should they have known? I don't know for sure, but I would think they knew, at least in most cases. Would this scenario be an acceptable excuse for the substances presence? If it were, athletes could avoid suspensions simply by not discussing their "supplement regimes" with their coaches.

Of course, sabotage is possible as well.
