In 2000 is Sydney,

I was in the Warm up room during the 94kg lifting after his lift of 220kg CK he came off and made a comment,  a greek friend of mine told me then & there it was over for him, something about his knees, too bad the Polish coach didnt know greek as Kakhi was quite vocal but did not  show his injury physcially, so Ianoou ? just played the raising attempt games and the Poles got caught out!
There is no shortage of stories where a small business person has been hit with tens of thousands or more of legal costs from their own lawyers. Then there is the potential of having to pay for the other sides legal costs if the small business person loses

Watch the video from Sydney - there is clear that something is not good with Kakhi (he also did a gesture with his hands like it is over) after his attempt on 220kg!

maybe but the poles lost a gold medal on the day when they could have taken less! poor weight selection

I could be wrong, but I think he made that gesture after the other guy missed his last attempt.  That made him the winner, therefore, he didn't need to do more to win, so he didn't.  In a situation like that, where your entire focus is on winning the competition, I think it would be pretty hard to be focused enough to try a lift "just for you" after you had already won.  Although Dimas tried it...and failed
