Hello o-lifting community, new member! Great site! Anyways, this coming weekend I will be assisting in teaching the NCCP Lev.1 Techinical Course up here in BC. One of the topics we will be discussing is the usage of weight belts. Now we know this has become a "controversial" issue, with many "expert" opinions. But the opinions of individuals whom have actually cleaned, snatched, deadlifted and squatted with numerous years in the trenches, I believe, is more reputable.
What do u guys/gals think on this subject?

Purely individual decision.
Do whatever feels best and works -- no belt ever, belt on heaviest sets, or belt all the time, whatever they want -- let the lifter have some control and choose his armor.
No question, some lifters dislike belts -- don't push one on them.
No question, some lifters like belts -- let them wear one.
And remember, a placebo effect is still an effect.
