« on: Nov 17, 2006, 09:08 PM »
on my left knee, the left part of my knee, it feels tight, dont know how to explain it but when i bend down like in a squat position that left part of my knee pops and just feel sort of tight and theres a bit of pain, and it feels when i squat down and go back up just with my bodyweight, it feels heavy on that leg wehre the knee pain is. that left part of my knee, i guess the outside part of it, it pops.

any idea what this is and wut to do, should i keep lifting?

You should have a professional look at it in person. That's the best thing to do.

your iliotibial (IT) band could be tight, if i dont do soft tissue work on my IT band consistently the lateral (outside) part of my knee knots up causing pain on the outside the knee, ask your doctor about getting a foam roller when you go see him, you can use it to stretch out the band

everyone should do consistent stretching and soft tissue work to increase the longevity of their joints and tendons and muscles
