I'm looking to get into a competition in the upcoming spring. I'm in Huntsville, TX which is an hour or so north of Houston. I've been looking on USAW's calendar and haven't seen anything yet. It would be my first, any info would be appreciated.

dont know anything about that but good luck when u do compete, and wut weightclass are you in and what do you plan to lift?

I would probably be in the 94's. As far as weights, I'd hate to start off throwing numbers around on my first post. Let's just say my snatch isn't where it should be and my jerk needs some help. (I'm not gonna be threatening any national competitors)

Sometimes there are competitions in Shreveport. That is not too far away from Texas.

I'm in the Detroit area, looking for local contests as well. I played college football (WR) and love WL. Looking to compete for fun and keep me in the
gym.

Anyone know of meets near the Great Lakes?

A meet calendar would be great! USAW doesn't always have everything, could generate more participation as well.
