MOSCOW (Reuters) - European junior champion Yevgeny Pisarev has become the second Russian weightlifter in a week to receive a two-year doping ban, local media reported on Monday.

Russian news agency All Sport said Pisarev had failed a drugs test for an unspecified anabolic steroid, quoting the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).

Pisarev, 17, has been one of the most promising young Russian lifters in the superheavyweight class, winning the last two European junior titles.

Olympic champion Dmitry Berestov, 26, also received a two-year ban last week after testing positive for the steroid prostanazol. He won the 105kg class at the 2004 Olympics, Russia's only weightlifting gold medal in Athens.
