Jason Fiacco On Junior Pan Am Team

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - University of Northern Iowa football student-athlete Jason Fiacco will represent the United States in weightlifting at the 2006 Pan American Junior Championships in Cali, Colombia, on Saturday.

Fiacco placed second in both the snatch and clean and jerk heavyweight competitions at the United States National Junior Championships last month in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

Fiacco will be a redshirt freshman offensive lineman on the 2006 UNI football team. Fiacco transferred to UNI from Iowa State after redshirting the 2005 football season for the Cyclones.

Fiacco is a native of Oconomowoc and is a graduate of Arrowhead High School.
