Appreciate the invite. Unfortunately, I will be out of town next Friday to help with a Youth Retreat.
Additionally, both of my shoulders have a rather severe injury currently. I am 99% certain it is bursitis in both of my shoulders. It is around the medial deltoids in both arms. So anytime I extend my arms out, it feels like a knife is cutting through them. So I havn't been able to do any olympic lifts for the last 2 weeks. This is an old problem that always rears its ugly head when I train. It takes at least a month to heal and then I am fine for the next 6 or so months and then it repeats again. Bummer.
Say, I also noticed you write comics? That is pretty cool! I think I read you work for DC?
Take care!

Gabrielle,
Hey! Come in on Tuesday and Thursday. I would love to have some one else in. Chaz skips those days specifically because he hates me. I know that sounds like an exaggeration but it's true. I may be #1 on his hit list! Also, feel free to rat talk me when Chuck is around. That'll score you some points!
Duane,
I don't know if Chuckles is the biggest personality in the gym. Don's pretty vocal and Roger seems to be the hub on which the club turns.
The only guys who stick around for CJ are the wrestlers. And to them he is, by comparison, a big fuzzy bunny when measured against a wrestling coach.

When I have time to have my technique worked on by someone that knows something about it, I'll be more than happy to compete in the Classical lifts, in addition to my current competitions in Strongman and Highland Games.
Around here in Tampa, we get tons of powerlifters and highland games athletes showing up for the Strongman competitions - but no Olympic lifters... hmmm...
