Hey, i go to palatka high and rich said that he heard you were going to come coach the weightlifting team over here. i hear you teach english or something?? Ive told some guys that i heard and everyone want you. We have a lot of potential from this town.....we just need a coach. anyways, just wanted to know if that was a rumor or what...

I'm honored to be approached for this opportunity this way, but this is the first I have heard of it. I didn't even know Palatka needed a coach. It is possible this is confusion over the fact that I considered taking a job at Deland High School, last year's boys state champions, teaching English and serving as the assistant coach. But, I have never taught English and am not overly excited about it, which is what Deland wanted. I could get certified to teach English and/or social studies easily enough, but I would vastly prefer to teach weight training, of course. Also, I live on the Gulf coast of Florida and this is home to me. So, to move over there for an English position I didn't really want and and assistant coach position when I should be a head coach was just not of interest. If the position had been for weight training or if the coaching position was a head position, I probably would have taken it.

I would be interested in coaching at Palatka, which is in the hotbed area of weightlifting and would teach English if that was what was required. High school weightlifting is dead in my area. The public schools do not do it anymore because they failed to add girl's lifting a few years back when I proposed it. Thus, they ended up having to drop the boys as a result of Title IX. Only three private schools do it here, and its pretty much a joke. So, I will look into it. Thanks for letting me know about it and thank you for the very nice invitation.

Yea, it wasnt exactly an invitation...its just what i hear from lansky. But that would be amazing for you to teach her. We have a deticated coach....but he lacks the whole wrighting good workouts thing. But we have lots of guys here that want to do good and a few lookin into olympic lifting. 3 of which are me, johnathan garcia, and sean hutchinson who are all in the 56kg class.

  Anyways, you really should look into it. and im sure you could become the head weighttraining teacher here cus we only have 1 or 2 that both teach other classes besides weighttraining.             thanks for your time,
