This is a sn vid I took yesterday. I know I should be getting deeper, and am working on it. My flexibility isn't what it should be, especailly in my hips. Making it a priority. Also, i just found out ,after the vid, that if I drop my hip just slightly then what the vid shows, I can get my back tighter and slightly arched. So, i'll see next time.
anyway, any help, advice is greatly appreciated,
TY,
Bob

thanks much. do you mean oh squats? I was working sn balances for a bit, for speed under the bar work, but switched them out for dead hang snatch. I never went real heavy on the snatch balance, maybe a heavier weight would help more with the sn bal.?
thanks again,
Bob

Bob,
I agree with Jack. I think the main thing you need to improve is your bottom position. Overhead squats and drop snatches (aka snatch balance) would be my supplementary prescription (and lots of stretching).
PS
Next time, you can also go ahead and upload the video directly to our site instead of using putfile, if you want. It will probably be easier and will allow others to download copies in addition to viewing the video.
Thanks for sharing!

thanks, i'll post it right up from here next time then. Would it be ok to say do sn bal as a warm up, not heavy, just a warm up, the do my snatch work, then heavy snatch balance. /or is that overkill?
not sure wht they're called but, i've been doing a SOTS press movements, but instead of a ront squat postion and clean grip press, I'm using a back squat postion and a sn grip press. I think I'll drop those for a bit and add in snatch balance ,see how it goes.
Thanks again,
Bob

I'm trying, lol . i gotta learn to arch my back more in the catch too. this will keep me tighter i assume. There are 2 coaches at my gym, but they're not there every day. i used to lift in Moorsetown,NJ (EGC sat gym). their hours didn't fit my work schedual. this gym os open 24 hrs /day, and just became an affiliate of EGC.
I got work to do in my lifts, i know. But i'm having a ball learning this stuff. Plus, alot more fun then powerlifting :-)
